RIM courts Apple, iPhone owners with security software

Research in Motion is slowly begins to customize mobile strategy to the motto

And thus, instead of trying to convince an iPhone or Android users to switch to the Blackberry platform RIM now offering, in outdated security software for the competing operating systems.

Called Mobile Fusion, a new safety package marketed to customers the company dole employees iPhone, Android phones and tablets. This software allows supervisors to monitor employees activity, remote device wipe the content or access keys to the device.

"What we are looking for corporate customers, and an opportunity for us, is to become the de facto security platform," said RIM VP Alan Panezic in a Reuters interview.
