Gadget review: should you go for Samsung Galaxy records

It is not a smartphone, as we know it. Also it is a tablet, as we know it. This is a perfect example of a hybrid-slot device-in perfectly between the smartphone and tablet. While it may not appeal to everyone, improve the performance of the undeniable. Note that expensive, but at the same time it is a niche tool as well. Meant for those who find a tablet that is too large, but at the same time, find a 4.0-inch smartphone a bit too small!

In a world that is still grappling with how smartphones and tablets will be side by side, Samsung has decided to introduce the model in the category hybrid slowly grew. Limited demographic tablet users aside, the mass was still using their smartphones to most tablet will do. So where does the Samsung Galaxy records fit in? It's a smartphone? Or a tablet, which runs the same path as the Dell Streak did sometimes return. It's really a perfect compromise between tablet and phone?

It's BIG! Until now we have been considering a smartphone 4.0-inch bigger screen, but this one with a 5.3-inch screen just put them in the shade. Quite literally! Although larger footprint, it does not weigh too much, and managed to stay pretty sleek too. Oddly enough, it's easy to use it with the same hand that holds it.

Minimalism is the theme we have come to expect from Samsung, at least as far as the galaxies of the handset in question. And the same properties are seen here as well. Right in the bottom of the screen is the homescreen, flanked by two touch the menu button and go back. We have seen this with the Samsung Galaxy S II as well, and fortunately that continues here too-You can set the behavior of this key lighting. Smartphone some crucial losing out on this great feature. There is a front-facing camera and sensor light right next to the earpiece, but a little hard to see at first!

The Volume rocker is on the left pane, while the power button sits down to the top of the panel on the right. The above is a 3.5 mm audio jack, while micro-USB port on the bottom. Flip records, and there were 8 MP camera with LED flash. Disappointed with the battery cover opening mechanism though.
